Tea Tsulukiani congratulates Georrgian shooter Nino Salukvadze on her birthday

Tea Tsulukiani, the Georgian Minister congratulated Olympic shooter Nino Salukvadze on 55th birthday.

Tea Tsulukiani, the Georgian Minister of Culture and Sports congratulated nine-time Olympic shooter Nino Salukvadze on her 55th birthday during a meeting. Nino Salukvadze will also participate in the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Sport shooter Nino Salukvadze was born on February 1, 1969 in Tbilisi the capital of Georgia. She is one of the youngest Olympians in the country and has participated in the Olympics a record nine times.

She won a medal thrice at the Olympic games. In her first she participated in the 1988 Summer Olympic Games on behalf of the former Soviet Union.

At present Nino Salukvadze is also preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Moreover she will be the first Georgian female athlete to compete at the Olympics for the tenth time. Tea Tsulukiani wished the legendary shooter good luck for the upcoming Olympics.

During the meeting with Nino Salukvadze the minister discussed with her the European Championship planned in Hungary. They also discussed the final qualifying tournament of the Brazilian Olympics in which the Georgian shot-shooters team will participate. Georgian athletes will try to gain qualifications for the Paris Olympics after winning this tournament.

On this occasion many other issues were also discussed, including the sports infrastructure of the country. The Ministry of Culture and Sports going to organize a shooting competition in accordance with international standards which will help Georgian athletes to achieve better results at international events. Similarly the new shooting range will allow Georgia to host several international tournaments.

It is worth mentioning that Nino Salukvadze won a gold medal in 25-meter distance and a silver in 10-meter throws in her debut performance. At the same time the famous shooter won a bronze medal in the ten-meter distance at the Olympic Games held in Beijing, China in 2008.

Notably Nino Salukvadze is a seven-stage world champion; she has won two silver and one bronze medal at the world championship. Her sporting assets include more than 20 world records at different stages including European Championships and 17 World Cup draw wins.

One anothr important fact is that Nino Salukvadze and Tsotne Machavariani became the first mother and child to compete in the Olympics together.Nino Salukvadze thaked the minster for birthday wishes and warm receptions.
