The event was led by Alexander Maisuradze, head of the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, a big crowd of fans and supporters gathered at the airport to extend a warm welcome to the athletes upon their return to their homeland.

Mariam Frodiashvili and Giorgi Mumladze made their names in history by securing Georgian gold medals for the first time in the mixed doubles category at the European Championship. 

Equally noteworthy is the victory of the Georgian girls’ team, comprising Mariam Frodiashvili, Mariam Abramishvili, and Salome Frodiachvili, who won gold medals for the first time in the team event.
