Marneuli Municipality, Georgia: The state trustee of the Lower Kartli regions of Georgia Giorgi Dokturishvili, met with the Israeli Ambassador to Georgia, Hadas Ester Meitzad on February 20, 2025, Friday. The meeting was held in Marneuli Municipality.
The mayor of the Kvemo Kartli region, Giorgi Dokturishvili shared glimpses of their meeting on his official Facebook page on February 20, 2025. Along with photographs, he also shared the details about the meeting.
The participants of the meeting were:
- Mayor Kvemo Kartli region, Kenan Omarov,
- Chairman of the City Council, Amiran Giorgadze,
- Deputy State Trustee in Kvemo Kartli, Ilia Jalaghania,
- Shalom Club “Kvemo Kartali”
- Representatives of local self-government
- State trustee.
According to the details shared by the mayor, it should be noted that the visit was made within the framework of the “Euphrates Educational Project“.
The mayor in his post noted that the project was supported by the Mashavi program and was organized by Shalom Club “Kvemo Kartli.” It should also be noted that the project is being implemented in Marneuli and Rustavi.
It is also noteworthy that within 3 months, representatives of ethnic minorities and socially vulnerable youth living in Rustavi and Marneuli will be able to learn Georgian and English languages for free, and acquire the necessary skills for interviewing with future employers- Getting into the habit.
The Ambassador also held a meeting with the members of the Youth Council of Marneuli Municipality, where they discussed the role of youth in the development process of the municipality, educational programs, and plans for cooperation in this regard.
At the end of the visit, the Israeli Ambassador to Georgia Hadas Ester Meitzad, together with the State Envoy and local government officials, visited Imir’s “Cut Mountain” and got to know the tourist potential of the cultural and historical monument.
