Tbilisi, Georgia: The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Tamar Ghvamichava took part in the “Joint Employment Forum” of private and public organizations organized by San Diego State University in Georgia.
It is noteworthy that “Joint Employment Forum” generally refers to forums or events where different organizations, including government agencies, employers, and labor organizations, come together to discuss employment-related issues and promote collaboration. These forums aim to improve job market dynamics, address labor market mismatches, and strengthen active labor market policies.Â
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of the Forum on its Official Facebook page on April 30, 2025, Wednesday. The Education Ministry of Georgia also shared a small note about the forum along with the photographs.
According to the information shared by the Georgian Education Ministry, it should be noted that the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Tamar Ghvamichava addressed the present audience with her speech.
During her speech, Tamar Ghvamichava spoke about the involvement of higher education institutions in promoting youth employment and paid special attention to the importance of holding such forums to overcome challenges in the labor market.
The goal of the forum is to strengthen connections between employers and students of ABET-accredited and search programs, to promote employment and internships.
Notably, San Diego State University, Georgia’s partner higher education institutions, Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University, and Technical University of Georgia participated in the forum.
It is noteworthy that graduates of the ABET-accredited program are successfully engaged in applied and natural science, engineering, and engineering-technology (STEM) fields. One of the most important advantages for graduates of ABET-accredited programs is the opportunity to get employment in the international market.
