An urgent meeting of the Environmental Protection Commission was held in the City Council of Tbilisi Municipality. The meeting was chaired by chairman of the commission Nikoloz Kakhetelidze who discuss multiple environment issues.
It is worth to note that details of meeting have shard by officials on social media handles. The Facebook page stated, “ At the meeting, the members of the committee discussed changes in the 2025 budget of the City of Tbilisi Municipality ,Draft of Establishment of the City of the City of City of Tbilisi. Gaioz Talakvadze, the head of financial service of Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, introduced the issue to the members of the commission.”
It was also stated, “In this session the project of establishment of the City of Tbilisi Municipal Council N17-46 on December 12, 2014 was discussed which is about the provision of bringing a collector, choosing a payment operator and approving the rule of disposing of waste in the property of Tbilisi Municipality. Ketevan Kandelakishvili, introduced the issue to the members of the commission, by the Deputy Head of the Civil Service of the City of Tbilisi Municipality Hall.”
Notably the members of the Commission on this occasion also discussed other important issues which includes, the approval of the rule of placing and/or realization of second-hand tires, black and coloured metals, out of service vehicles and their parts, easily deflated, exploded or breakable materials”.
Moreover, the Tbilisi Municipality Council’s February 28, 2020 draft N54-35 was discussed. Sergo Birkadze, the head of the Tbilisi Municipality City Hall’s SP Property Management Agency, introduced the issue to the members of the commission.
Also the members of the committee discusses,approving the General Plan for Land Use of the Capital City.
They also discussed the project of the establishment of the Tbilisi Municipality City Council on March 15, 2019. Nino Bagashvili, the head of Tbilisi Municipality Transport and Urban Development Agency, introduced the issue to the members of the commission.
Issues presented at the meeting were given a positive recommendation for discussion at the nearest meeting of the City Council.
