Tbilisi, Georgia: The municipality has introduced its latest addition i.e. 18-meter MAN buses to enhance the public transportation system in Tbilisi.
The Passengers of the N314 route are set to reap the benefits of this initiative, as the previous 12-meter buses on this route have been replaced with these spacious and modern vehicles.
The introduction of these new buses marks a significant milestone in the ongoing transport reform efforts undertaken by the municipality. With a total of 160 units acquired, these buses are set to redefine the commuting experience for residents and visitors alike.
One of the key highlights of these new buses is their capacity to accommodate up to 162 passengers, with 43 seats available. Designed with comfort and inclusivity in mind, the buses are fully adapted for individuals with disabilities. Special features include a designated area for wheelchair parking, along with a removable ramp for easy accessibility.
The buses are equipped with amenities like an integrated system comprising heating, air conditioning, and ventilation ensuring optimal comfort, regardless of the prevailing climate conditions in Tbilisi. Voice information announcements, along with internal and external video monitoring, further contribute to a secure and well-monitored journey for passengers.
The buses are also outfitted with modern facilities such as mobile charging points and WIFI devices. These features not only cater to the evolving needs of passengers but also align with the municipality’s commitment to providing a technologically advanced transportation experience.
The municipality plans to extend the distribution of these buses to route N301, further enhancing accessibility and reliability across the city’s transport network.
