Tbilisi, Georgia: At Liakhvi Street in the Nadzaladevi area, the company “Georgian Water and Power” is renovating the underground communications, drinking water, and sewerage network system.
Beginning at 10:00 on December 5, Liakhvi Street was closed to traffic from the intersction of David Guramishvili Avenue and Chargli Street due to construction.
Instead of using Liakhvi Street, vehicles arriving from Davit Guramishvili Avenue will be able to pass. the street of Jincharadze. Additionally, cars will not be permitted on Chargli Street; instead, they will be permitted to travel via Zhinvali and Shengelia streets before arriving at Ratevan, etc. Cars can be driven from Jincharadze Street. to reach Guramishvili Street.
To minimize disruptions, the following alternative routes have been designated:
- Cars coming from Davit Guramishvili Avenue can take Jincharadze Street as an alternative route.
- Vehicles will be restricted on Chargli Street but can pass through Zhinvali and Shengelia streets to reach Ratevan.
- Movement from Choport Street will also be limited, with cars able to reach David Guramishvili Avenue via Zhinvali, Shengelia, Ratevan, and Jincharadze streets.
Also, there will be limited movement from Choport Street, from where cars will be able to reach David Guramishvili Avenue through Zhinvali, Shengelia, Ratevan, and Jincharadze streets.
Regarding public transport, the N360 bus and N553 minibus will connect from Chargli Street to Gudamakri Street, switch to David Guramishvili Avenue, turn to metro station “Ghrmagele” and end the movement at their last stop. The direction of public transport does not change due to indirect direction.
Rehabilitation works will continue in 24-hour mode. The project will be completed in January 2025, after which the regional board will capitalize the road cover.
To reduce disruptions, drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to plan their travels appropriately and stick to the approved alternate routes.
