The Mayor of Tianeti municipality Levan Tsiklauri held a meeting with students from public schools in the municipality. Most of these students are those who will compete their study in the 2025 School Sports Olympiad.
The Mayor of Tianeti congratulated the youth on their victory in the municipal games, presented each of them with sports uniforms, wished them further success and promised support.
Teams from Tianeti Municipality competing in five sports will participate in the next stages of the Olympics in new sports uniforms. The students firstly need to compete firstly at regional level.
Moreover, in case of victory they will enter another level to compete in zonal and final games. Georgian champions would compete in international school championships if they successfully completed all local level competition as well.
It is worth to note that the main goal of the School Sports Olympiad is to promote the development of school sports, popularize a healthy lifestyle and interest and involve young people in various sports activities.
The mayor on occasion interacted personally with the students and sports personals. He urged them to participate in sports to make the countryman proud.
As per Mayor of municipality the administration is very concerned to promote sports culture in city. The authorities are trying to provided world class sports facilities to young sports talent of city hall
Similar views were also expressed by other key speaker on this occasion who said that in future more facilities would be provided to all the student community.
This is to be added that this is not the first time when assistance is being provided to students to explore hidden sports talent rather many times in past years also this assistance was given.
Meanwhile on the other hand the school students also expressed their views with visiting members of delegation as well. Notably students expressed their gratitude for this help as well as assistance for sports excellence.
