At the meeting, Tea Akhvlediani noted that within the framework of the state policy of civil equality and integration, the information campaign in municipalities densely populated by ethnic minorities provides the opportunity for the people to receive comprehensive information from the representatives of the relevant authorities on issues that are important to them, including available opportunities for education and public language learning, ongoing and planned public programs and services such as social, health care, agriculture and economics, and free legal aid. Implementing the annual campaign marked by the Minister of State has become a tradition. In response to the high interest from the population, it is constantly developing and expanding.

Giorgi Aladashvili, the State Trustee of the Kakheti side, and Avtandil Gulikashvili, the Mayor of Sagarejo Municipality, participated in the meeting and addressed the audience.

Wide-scale information campaigns about government programs and services in Kakheti, Lower Kartli, and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions, which are densely populated by ethnic minorities, under the leadership and coordination of the Office of the Minister of State, in close cooperation with local self-governments of the region and with direct participation of representatives of state agencies.

“Today in Sagarejo, we summarized a thematic wide-scale information campaign in four municipalities densely populated by ethnic minorities in the Kakheti region, which was evaluated by the local population to be more exciting and beneficial.

“Such meetings and direct communication with the population enable us to make even more effective and maximally adapted to the needs of government programs and services, especially the access of our non-Georgian population, to inform them about the generation of open opportunities and thereby their full involvement in socio-economic processes,” – the name stated Minister of State Tea Akhvlediani.
