The Georgian delegation’s visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ended on January 27, 2025. They were dropped off at Abu Dhabi International Airport by United Arab Emirates Minister of State Ahmed Al Saye.
The official visit of Prime Minster Irakli Kobakhidze to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) began on January 26. During his visit, the Prime Minister met with the officials and representatives of the Government of UAE.
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze shared glimpses of their gathering at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, on January 28, 2025. He also noted that he met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his visit.
During his visit, PM Kobakhidze held meetings with the Minister of Tolerance of UAE, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, as well as the Abu Dhabi State Investment Company and its logistics director, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group. It is also worth mentioning that the Abu Dhabi Ports Group is actively involved in the development of the Central Corridor and implementing the Tbilisi dry port project.
According to the Prime Minister, this visit was very important because the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a superior country in terms of progress and overall development. He also noted that the economic development and cooperation of Georgia with the UAE will deepen their relations and this can bring serious benefits to Georgia.
PM also signed a major investment agreement after the meetings, that provides for an investment of $ 6 billion in Georgia – creating a multifunctional infrastructure space, both in Tbilisi and Gonio. According to PM, this is the biggest investment in the history of Georgia by the development company Emaar Properties/Eagle Hills.
The signing ceremony was held at the residence of the President of the United Arab Emirates and Kobakhidze attended it together with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It should also be noted that Emaar Group is a world-renowned company for its experience and resources, and the Georgian delegation is proud to have signed this deal. The project will begin soon and this will contribute to the development of our country, economy, Tbilisi, and Adjara, new jobs will be created.
