The world-renowned magazine “Wine Enthusiast” published a dedicated story on the native grape variety of Georgia known as “saperavi” . This is published under the promotion collaboration agreement signed between the National Wine Agency of Georgia and Magzine.
Saperavi is best quality of grapes used for wine making in Georgia. As per the promotion agreement, the magazine will continue to promote Georgian wine throughout the present year of 2024 as well. The demand for the wine made from this quality of grapes is growing in the USA and expected to see the rise in demand in near future as well.
This article of the USA based magazine delves into the historical origins along with the distinctive varietal characteristics of Saperavi. As part of the same collaboration last year, the renowned magazine “Wine Enthusiast” published an article titled “Get to Know Georgia: The Birthplace of Wine.” As per the plans in the present year of 20204, the magazine will launch the special campaign for the popularity of the Wines with the use of electronic and print media as well. The magazine was founded in 1979 and boasting an impressive audience of 5 million.
It is worth noting that the United States is a strategic market for Georgian wine. In addition to showcasing Georgian wine through presentations, tastings, and international exhibitions, the National Wine Agency provided both financial and organizational support for a media campaign in the USA. An advertising clip was prepared for the broadcasting of CNN, one of the highest-rated TV broadcasters in the USA. Additionally, CBS produced an extensive story about Georgian wine called “Ancient Vines”.
