Discover Dominica Authority appoints Nathalie Walsh as new Festivals Manager

Roseau, Dominica: Nathalie Walsh, a highly experienced marketing professional, will now be heading the Festivals and Event management of the Discover Dominica Authority(DDA). The decision to appoint Walsh was made, considering her expertise in event management and marketing.

Roseau, Dominica: Nathalie Walsh, a highly experienced marketing professional, will now be heading the Festivals and Event management of the Discover Dominica Authority(DDA). The decision to appoint Walsh was made, considering her expertise in event management and marketing.

Following her takeover on March 13, 2023, Walsh assumed the responsibility for the successful execution of the high scale events of the Commonwealth of Dominica, which includes the World Creole Music Festival, Mas Dominik- The Real Mas and Jazz n’ Creole to name a few.

Nathalie Walsh has previously served as head of the commercial, sales and marketing manager for Digicel, a renowned telecommunications company, for eleven long years, between 2006-2017. From 2018-2021, Walsh headed the Distribution and Marketing for the Fine Foods Inc. Group of Companies. 

Walsh also completed her consultancy recently with the Guyana Telegraph and Telephone Company.

As the new events and festival manager of the Discover Dominica Authority stated, She, along with her team, would strive for the fulfilment of the aspirations of DDA, which revolve around providing international recognition to the Dominican arts, music, culture and festivals.

In addition to this, she envisages the development of investment prospects to inspire investors to participate and reap mutual benefits from the industry.

Meanwhile, the Tourism Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Denise Charles, extended a warm welcome for Nathalie Walsh to the DFC/DDA Team while commending her experience in the private sector and leadership skills in the field of marketing management.

Notably, the DDA anticipates an increased visitor turnout at the upcoming festivals, with Jazz n’ Creole to kick off on April 30 at Fort Shirley in the Cabrits National Park.
