The Mayor of Zestafoni, Vasil Gvelesian attended the closing ceremony of the summer camp “Tabakini 2024.” Almost one hundred young people attended the camp.
The summer camp was organized near the public school of Tabakin with the participation of 100 young people. During the week-long youth camp the participants were involved in a number of activities. They were involved in educational, cognitive, and sports activities which made them aware of these activities.
It is worth mentioning that the program is being implemented for the third year at the school base. The main goal of this campus is “access to active recreation for young people, teamwork, critical thinking, raising the sense of responsibility, social integration, promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the young people.”
The Mayor of the Municipality also addressed the people on this occasion. During his speech the mayor stated “I promised the young people that I would attend the closing ceremony of the camp with them. There is an amazing mood. It is a great day to see that the number of people who want to come to the camp is increasing yearly.
The young people on this campus got the opportunity to make many friends and hone their skills. I hope they will actively use the experience gained here in different directions in their daily lives. in life, too.”
The camp attendees participated in various cultural and musical festivals. The performers were dressed in the country’s traditional dress. The parents and the local people of the area also gathered at the campsite. The camp was decorated to make it attractive.
The night event was held around the bonfire which was also enjoyed by all the participants. The Zestafoni Municipality also shared this information on its social media pages. Social media users reacting to the Municipality’s post appreciated the municipality’s efforts for such noble initiatives.
