Georgia: Irakli Karseladze meets Emergency Ambassador of Hungary, Anna Maria Shiko

Tbilisi: The Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister of Georgia, Irakli Karseladze, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Emergency and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Georgia, Anna Maria Shiko.

At the meeting, the parties discussed about the completed, ongoing and planned infrastructural projects in the country. The Minister also briefed the Ambassador about the currently ongoing projects and the projects that have been planned for road, water supply, water supply, non-hazardous waste management, educational and development of  the municipal infrastructures.

 Among them, he spoke about the program started at the initiative of the Prime Minister within the framework of “Displaced Regions”, urban renewal projects in the country’s municipalities and the construction-rehabilitation of 885 kindergartens.

 Irakli Karseladze spoke about the local and international importance of the successful implementation of ongoing and planned infrastructural projects. Also, he introduced to the Ambassador the main directions of planned infrastructure development with the 10-year strategy of development of the country developed on the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia.

 Ana Maria Shiko positively assessed the progress of infrastructural projects in Georgia and, in turn, shared the experience of Hungary with the Minister.

The parties of the meeting discussed the issues of the regional development and infrastructure of the two countries and deepening their cooperation and relations in this direction.

 The meeting of the Georgian Minister and the Hungarian Ambassador was also attended by the Hungarian Embassy for Atashe Economy, Tomash Hegedu and the Head of the Apparatus of the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Tamar Akhvlediani.
