Station 31072 has also shared some achievements and experiences of Chef Virginia Willis.

The Chef Virginia is a James Beard award-winning cookbook author and chef for Food Network Kitchen. At the beginning of 2019, Virginia lost 65 pounds and has kept it off for over 2 1/2 years.

Station 31072 said her health journey had been documented in Eating Well as a cover story for Woman’s World, All Recipes, and AARP. Virginia has embraced her new outlook on life and has become a cheerleader for those wanting to make their life changes; she always says, “If a French-trained Southern chef can do it, you can, too!”

They also mentioned that her cookbooks include Fresh Start: Cooking with Virginia: My Real Life Daily Guide to Healthy Eating and Weight Loss; Secrets of the Southern Table, Lighten Up, Y’all, Bon Appétit, Y’all, Basic to Brilliant, Y’all, & Okra and Grits.

According to them, she is the former TV kitchen director for Martha Stewart, Bobby Flay, and Nathalie Dupree; has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants; and travelled the world producing food stories – from making cheese in California to escargot farming in France.

They noted that she has appeared on Alex vs America, The Rachel Ray Show, Food Network’s Chopped, CBS This Morning, Fox Family and Friends, Martha Stewart Living, and as a Throw Down with Bobby Flay judge.

Virginia has also been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, People Magazine, Eater, and Food52. She has contributed to Eating Well, Garden & Gun, Bon Appétit, and more. The Chicago Tribune praised her as one of “Seven Food Writers You Need to Know.”

Station 31072 is honoured to have her come and lead the visitors through a cooking demonstration and meal that visitors will always remember.
