Tbilisi: The Georgian National University (SEU) is going to hold a three-day seminar on Journalism. These three-day seminars will be organised from November 11 to November 13 on different aspects of Journalism.
As per the University Information made public by its Administration the main theme of the seminar will be “ career path in journalism”. This will be organised by the Department of Journalism with the active support of the Office of Career Development and Alumni Relations.
The university invited Interested students to join this seminar after registration. Here, students will get professional advice on career development and practical activities.
The many aspects of Journalism will be discussed.
Some of these include:
1:What is one working day of a journalist ?
2: How is a television report made in day-to-day life?
3: The details procedure and practical process of filming a television report
4:The specific details of the presenter’s work
5:What are the main challenges associated with the presenter’s activity in the news field?
5:How to Become a successful sports journalist
6:What are the main challenges a sports journalist faces in Georgia and others?
The following is the schedule of events:
The first-day seminar will be held on December 11 at 4:00 p.m.
The meeting will be on the topic: “One working day of a journalist.”
The key Speaker on this occasion will be Anna Khoshtaria, a graduate of SEU and journalist of “Kurier” news service of “Rustavi2” broadcasting company.
The second event will be held on December 12 again at 4:00 p.m.
This Meeting will be held on the topic: “News: preparing a television report.”
The key Speaker on this day will be Shalva Sumbadze, SEU graduate and news correspondent/host of the “Kviris Moambe” news program.
Similarly, the third session will be held on December 13 at 4:00 p.m.
The theme of this Meeting is: “Sports Journalism in Georgia”
This meeting will be addressed by a key speaker including Saba Sapanadze, a graduate student of SEU journalism undergraduate program, and sports journalist.
The working language of the seminar will be Georgian and After the completion of the public lecture a bilingual certificate will be issued to participants.
The organiser of the seminar said that this will help the students to explore the opportunities in the field of Journalism.
