Georgia: A delegation of the Chamber of Notaries of Georgia attended a conference on sanotary social security for notaries of EU member countries held in Brussels on Tuesday.
The Social Security Commission of the International Union of Notaries (UINL-CSSN) organised the conference, of which the Georgian notary David Imnadze has been a member since 2021.
The working group of the Sanotary Social Security Commission of the International Union of Notaries discussed the issues of European Notaries pension funds and recent achievements in EU legislation.
The conference’s main goal was to support the notaries of EU member countries and the pension funds of future members in countries with no such institutions. Representatives of the working group from the member countries of the International Union of Notaries attended the conference.
The conference was held in Brussels and was attended by representatives of the working group from the member countries of the International Union of Notaries.
The Georgian delegation also signed an agreement with the Council of Notaries of the European Union to strengthen the cooperation and exchange of best practices between the Georgian and European notaries.
The Chamber of Notaries of Georgia stated that participation in the conference was essential to the Eurointegration of Georgia and further developing the Georgian sanotary field.

The Notary Chamber of Georgia is a public law entity established on May 3, 1996, under the Georgian Law about Notaries. The Notary Chamber of Georgia is the union of notaries based on their compulsory membership and self-governing principles. According to Georgian Law, the Notary Chamber is a legal entity of public law.
The supreme managing body of the Georgian notary is the General Meeting of Members of the Chamber. In contrast, the executive body is the Board, consisting of 7 members, elected by the Meeting for three years by secret ballot.
The General Meeting also elects the Chairman of the Board by nomination of the Minister of Justice.
