The Ambassador of the United States of America Robin Danigan visited the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Georgia and met with Minister Tea Tsulukiani. The Both sides discussed the bilateral relationship and another issue of importance.
It is to be specifically mentioned that an introductory meeting between the acting Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani and the United States Ambassador Emergency and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Robin Danigan was held at the Ministry office.
At the meeting they talked about the long-standing friendship strategic partnership and successful cooperation of Georgia and the United States. Special attention was paid to the opportunities to develop already existing cooperation in the field of culture and sports.
The talks also touched upon cultural heritage protection, projects and programs implemented under the multi-year partnership for the development of cultural heritage monuments and territories, protection of museum sanctuary and museum management, as well as opportunities for their expansion.
The Georgian minister Tea Tsulukiani sincerely thanked the Ambassador for the support of the American people and successful joint projects such as the financial support project for the conservation-restoration of the Royal Palace of Dadiani, and the Palace of Preserved Objects and Artifacts.
In addition, the meeting also focused on the proper presentation of Georgian cinema by the National Center of Cinematography both in the United States and in European structures including in front of “Eurimage”.
At the end of the meeting Tea Tsulukiani wished Robin Danigan a successful and fruitful diplomatic activity and expressed her readiness for further strengthening of strategic partnership, culture and sports relations, and long-standing friendships. The Minister of Culture also underlined that Georgia will continue to successfully move towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
Robin Danigan on behalf of the United States confirmed Tea Tsulukiani’s desire for fruitful cooperation and congratulated Georgia on obtaining European Union candidate status.
