The local administration of the Kedi municipality of Georgia has congratulated the citizens of the locality on the eve of International Women’s day. They also remembered the achievements of successful women who made the citizens of areas proud.
The Kedi municipality also took to their social media handles. They stated in a Facebook post that “ In the Kedi Cultural Center within the framework of the Week dedicated to Women’s and Mother’s Day was held. The event featured local choreographic and folk ensembles, individual performers, children’s choreographic ensembles, and country club ensembles”.
Spaking on the occasion n Mayor Roland Beridze congratulated invited ladies, wishing them health, longevity, and success. It was also noted that 75 women will be given paid gifts by the municipality on the occasion of International Women’s Day. At the end of the concert, the choreographic ensemble “Saunje” in Bakuriani was awarded diplomas and medals for successful participation in the Second International Song and Dance Festival.
Also there was the “Dignified Elderhood” event of the Kedi Senior Club was held. Club member ladies were congratulated by administration officials on March 8 and were given symbolic gifts by Mayor Roland Beridze, Deputy Chairman of City Council Roman Davitadze, Head of Education, Culture, Sports, Tourism, Youth Affairs, and Monuments Protection Service Ekaterine Kajaia, and Club Chairman Rezo Beridze.
It is to be added that the event hall was full with the participants as well. There was a beautiful and impressive presentation as well given by the children.
The group of senior students and women groups also gave a musical performance as well. It is to be added that many women of Georgia have achieved success in various fields of life.
The Georgian government has initiated many measures for the upliftment of women across Georgia. The government and non-government organisations are supporting the women for the protection of their rights as well.
