Georgia:Â Georgia’s prime minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, is happy that Georgia’s national Team went to the highest-ranking tournament in the European Championship.Â
Thirty years ago, the history of Georgia’s national Team began. For the first time in 30 years, they managed and went to the highest-ranking tournament, which is, of course, especially proud.
Georgia’s prime minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, said, “Today we have a special, emotional day and therefore a special session. Congratulations on yesterday’s historic victory and success—our citizens, immigrants and, most importantly, our footballers. History was made yesterday, that’s safe to say”.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Team and said, “I would like to thank, first of all, of course, again and again to the players and our national team members who put their soul and heart into yesterday’s victory. To the coaching staff, led by Will Sagnoli, our proud French coach. Special thanks to the heads of the Football Federation, the President, General Secretary, and Vice Presidents – each of them. Over the years, the success we finally achieved yesterday”.Â
“Also, I would like to congratulate our veteran footballers on this historic win. They have built this victory for decades. Congratulations to our veterans, May 13 heroes. I especially want to congratulate our veteran football players. Also, to players of all generations of the Team, each of them’s contribution to this victory is special. They deserve this victory that we made yesterday and brought to us by our boys,” said PM Irakli.
Yesterday, with the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, they decided to award the Order of Honor to our proud team members, the whole Team. PM says he would like to clarify that 26 footballers who were called for the final matches will be awarded.Â
He congratulated each of them on receiving the Order of Honor. The entire coaching staff and the federation’s leadership will also be presented with the Order of Honor. These are truly decent people, and this is the least appreciation they can get from their country and state.Â
At last, he says that he wants to congratulate everyone once again, “Congratulate our players, team, and federation, and I am sure big victories are ahead. Most importantly, I wish success to our team at the European Championship“.
