Georgia: The final gala evening of the project “Needs and development-oriented outdoor space for disabled children living in Baghdati municipality” was held on April 19, 2024, in the Hotel “Gelati Residence.”

The event aimed to secure the financial resources necessary for the outdoor space of the Social Inclusion Center for Children with Disabilities in Baghdati Municipality, a project that will significantly enhance these children’s well-being and quality of life.

Representatives of donor organizations, local self-government, NGOs—State Care for Victims of Trafficking, Victims’ Assistance Agency, Education, Local NGOs, and Business Organizations, and People who care about the well-being of children with disabilities and are our supporters were invited to the evening.

Guests were treated to a light lunch, a glass of wine, and the melodic tunes of singer Keti Turkadze. The evening, hosted by the charismatic Dato Liklikadze, showcased the project’s achievements and its impact on the lives of disabled children. Beneficiaries of disabled children’s day centers and social enterprises participated in the exhibition-sale, featuring unique creations from local brands such as ‘LaLa_T’, ‘M. b handmade ‘, ‘Uzareli-Uzareli’, ‘Margarita’, and ‘Parshevangi’.

The evening was pleasant. With a joint effort, we collected 3650 Gel, bringing us closer to our goal.

Thank you to each and every supporter and guest. With your support, we are changing and improving every day for the welfare of children with disabilities.

The gala evening was held within the framework of the project “Civil Society Initiative: Sustainable, Open and Accountable Civil Society Organizations for the Development of Georgia,” which was supported by the EU (EU) and the Conrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).

The project is being implemented by the consortium led by the Conrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), which is also collaborating with the following non-governmental organizations: the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG), the Institute of Civil Society (CSI), the Center for Counseling and Training (CTC), the Center for Education Development and Employment (EDEC), and the European Policy Institute (IEP).
