Georgia: The head of the Adjara government, Tornike Rizhvadze, got acquainted with infrastructure works in Khulo municipality. The rehabilitation of the Khulo-Zarzma road continues intensively.
Rehabilitation-reconstruction is carried out on 47 kilometers of road. The head of the Adjara Government, Tornike Rizhvadze, and the Head of the Department of Roads of Georgia, Giorgi Tsereteli, inspected the road rehabilitation works in Highland Adjara.
The project will be implemented with the financial support of the Kuwait Foundation and state budget funding. Asphalt-concrete pavement is laid at 21 km, while excavation and retaining walls are underway on the other sections.
As a result of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of this motorway, the quality of road safety will significantly improve.
With the renewed road, the travel time from Batumi to Akhaltsikhe will be reduced by 1.5 hours. The rehabilitation section starts from Daba Khulo, passes through the Goderdze Pass, and reaches Adigeni village Zarzma.
The construction of a new school and residential campus in the village of Vashlovani is progressing rapidly. The school, designed to accommodate 350 students, has been fully constructed, and infrastructure works are currently underway. The new school will be a model of modernity, featuring energy-efficient facilities, fully equipped laboratories, and an activity hall. The school’s open field will also be fully rehabilitated, providing a conducive environment for outdoor activities.
Construction work has started in Khulo Municipality as part of the Dabebi and Rural Water Supply and Sewerage program. This comprehensive project includes the full renovation of drainage channels in Daba Khulo and 11 villages, benefiting more than 1600 families. Additionally, we will construct three main water wastes, 12 reservoirs, and sewage treatment wastes. Highway and distribution pipes and water supply systems will also be set up, ensuring a reliable and efficient water supply for our residents.
