Georgia: A team of master trainers was established in Georgia under the project “Together—Strengthening Families” to implement the UPG approach to overcoming poverty and effectively using it with families.
40 urgently selected master trainers underwent specialized training in the methodology of overcoming poverty, social protection, social empowerment, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. This training has significantly enhanced their skills and knowledge, making them more effective in their roles.
The master trainers were employees of the Social Service Agency, State Care and Trafficking Victims, Victims’ Assistance Agency, State Employment Promotion Agency, mentors of the Danish Refugee Council, and World Vision Georgia facilitators. Â
The training course aims to train qualified professionals, who will then train and provide skilled support for people working with families.
The intensive training course has been developed specifically for Master Trainers and includes theoretical and practical approaches to teaching relevant fields, as well as tools to improve the competencies and skills required for trainers. Master trainers trained within the project will, in turn, train 39 family-strengthening consultants and 160 public servants.
At the end of the course, the director of the Social Services Agency of Social Services Tea Gvaramadze, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the project’s partner organizations, World Vision Georgia and DRC, for their invaluable contribution to the project.
He emphasized that the creation of educational resources and the training provided will enhance the competencies of State Care and Employment Promotion Agency employees and help them perform their duties effectively. Â
The project “Together—Strengthening Families” is implemented by the Consortium, World Vision Germany (WV), World Vision Georgia, the Danish Council of Refugees (DRC) in Georgia, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection SP Social Services Agency (SSA). The project is financially supported by the Swedish Development Agency (SIDA).
