Tbilisi: A youth camp was recently hosted in Anakila town, Georgia. The camp was attended by the students of Tbilisi State Medical University. A large number of fourth-stream students turned up for the camp.
It is worth noting that within the camp’s framework young people were involved in many activities including educational, sports, and cognitive activities. Moreover the meeting was aimed at developing key competencies among the young members.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the trainings were held for students on various topics.l The topics on which students were provided information included drug policy (challenges and threats), activities of the Georgian army and defense forces, the impact of globalization and changing international order, election news and electronic technologies.
Among the event’s guests was the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Nodar Papukashvili. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee of the Parliament, Givi Mikanadze and met with students at the Anaklia youth camp.
During the youth camp there was also a festival of colors and “Goofy Land” concert. The students showed great interest in this event also. The organizer of the camp while speaking on the objective said “ The main purpose of the camp is to enhance the opportunities for increasing access to active recreation for young people, social integration of young people, promoting the manifestation of their physical and intellectual potential, promoting a healthy lifestyle, promoting the establishment of national and European values, encouraging patriotic values among them as well.”
In 2024 the Anaklia camp will be implemented in 13 streams and host 3120 young people. The camp hosts 240 participants aged 18-25 per stream. The students were very excited to be part of the event. The students enjoyed various activities during the event. At the end of camp they also shared their experience and said that this was a very productive session and that it should be organised again in the future.
