The management of the Batumi Black Sea Music and Art Festival (BBSMAF) has announced to reward the best violaists as well as the Pianists. The audition for the contest will be held on September 12 to 14, 2024 at the large concert hall of Batumi Music Centre from 14:00.
Batumi Black Sea Music and Art Festival will hold its 12th edition from September 10 to 15, 2024. According to the information shared by the festival organizers, the 12th edition will be dedicated to classical music and folklore heritage values of the country. Moreover the festival is growing with every passing year under the patronage of UNESCO.
The BBSMAF took to its social media handles to share this information. On its official Facebook page the BBSMAF added “This year we are going to reward the best violists and pianists under the junior category. The violist will also get master classes by the professor of the Vienna Academy of Arts.”
The others who will grace the occasion with their esteemed presence included the director of the Fritz Kreisler String Department, Vienna, The first concertmaster of the symphony orchestra, Professor Anton Sorokow, as well. The violinist competition will be held in two categories. In category A, violist players between the ages of 10 and 15 will participate.
In the second category violists between the ages of 16 and 25 will be eligible to compete. The competition will be held at 3:00 on September 14 and 15. The location where the events will be held includes the the Music school is named after Paliashvili (20 Demetre Tavdadebuli St.). The contestants will have to give their performance for 10 to 15 minutes.

Similarly the Pianist’s auditions will be held at the large concert hall of Batumi Music Center from 15:00. The award amount for category A will be 3000 GEL, and for the winners of category B, it is 5000 GEL.
