Tbilisi: Recently CSI (Civil Society Organisation) organized a four-day meeting with the youth of Kobeleti, Keneda, Khula, and Batumi municipality. This was held to aware the youth about their role in national building.
The meeting aimed to establish civil society values among the population especially the youth. Another important objective was to present the role and function of public organizations and their activities and popularize civil activism among the youth members of the group.
The main Guests invited to the meeting included the writer and TV presenter Torresa Moss, TV presenter Nika Kavtaradze, photographer Guram Tsibakashvili and writer and TV presenter Nestan Kvinikadze. They spoke to young people about the development of civil society and the importance of civic responsibility as well as the role and importance of youth organizations in overall development.
It is worth noting that the traditional competition “This country is yours” was also announced at the meeting. The competition will be held throughout the country and the winners will be announced according to region. It is also to be noted that the campaign “This country is yours” is led by the Civil Society Institute (CSI) and the project is being funded by the European Union (EU) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
Notbaly youth organisations across the country are playing a very active role in developing the youth population. The Key speaker during the meeting apprised the young members that they can play a vital role in nation-building. They also explained the role of youth activism in the country. The civil society star initiative shares this information on their social media pages. They also shares the glimpses on the occasion as well.
A significant number of young members from their respective countries were part of these camps as well. The social media users, while reacting to development, appreciated the efforts of the municipality administration. According to them this will make the young people aware about the social values.
