A Georgian Wine tasting event was recently held in the United States of America with the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia.
It is worth noting that this was one of the largest events held by an agency in Irving, Texas two main cities of the United States of America as part of the TEXSOM sommeliers’ conference. As mentioned above in addition to the support of the Georgian National Wine Agency, the American marketing company Colangelo & Partners and the other partners of the agency contractor also supported the event.
On the occasion almost seventy wines of different tastes were presented for people who love wines. Many wine experts and industry professionals graced the significant occasion. They also included people who have contributed significantly to spreading awareness of Georgian wine in professional circles across the globe.
It is worth noting that the master of Wine Lisa Granik presented a presentation on this occasion. The presentation was based on the culture and history of Georgian wine. Notably the Texas Sommelier Conference also known as “TEXSOM,” was founded in 2005 to raise professional standards of winemaking among local sommeliers. With each passing year the historic conference became one of the most important events in the field of wine culture worldwide.
In recent years many programs and initiatives have been implemented to increasing awareness about Georgia wine among wine lovers worldwide. Most of these seminars and programs are being held with the active support of the national wine agency.
According to official data between January and July this year almost 710 thousand liters of wine were exported to the United States which is almost 44% higher than last year. The national wine agency has been providing winemakers with training for a long time.
