Aleksandre Tsuladze, the Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth held a meeting with the 300 municipal teachers. He discussed the ministry’s plan and measures to overcome the challenges with them.
The Georgian Minister was accompanied by the Majority MP of Tsalendjikhi Municipality Irakli Zarkua and many representatives of the ministry. At the same time representatives of the local administration were also present.
During his speech the minister introduced future visions in terms of supporting teachers and promoting professional development and discussed various topical issues with them. The participants of the meeting discussed both the salary policy and news about the level of general education.
As Aleksandre Tsuladze mentioned, the Ministry will make any decision only after considering teachers’ interests and demands. Similarly regarding infrastructural issues, the minister introduced to the teachers the list of schools that have already been built or renovated and some of them are currently undergoing rehabilitation and construction works.
According to the minister the construction and rehabilitation of schools is ongoing throughout the country. However along with a comfortable environment the main task of the ministry is the methodological and programmatic development of schools.
He also stresses the upliftment of the qualification of teachers, their career growth and taking care of a safe school environment.
At the end of the meeting, Aleksandre Tsuladze and Irakli Zarkua awarded about 50 teachers for their many years of fruitful teaching activity and thanked them for their work.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Gela Geladze also participated in the meeting with the teachers of Tsalenjikha Municipality. He also appreciated the teachers for their selfless services.
The Ministry of Education and Sports taking to its social media handles, shared glimpses of an impressive event. The pictures posted on the Ministry’s official Facebook page showed the hall full of teachers who participated with great enthusiasm. On the other hand social media users also appreciated the Ministry’s efforts to upgrade teacher’s teaching skills.
