The officials and representatives of the Ambrolauri are working in intensive mode to remove the snow from busy roads. The work for electricity is also on full scale to bring daily life to normal.
The officials of the Municipality took to their social media handles and inform public about ongoing work. The official Facebook of Municipality stated, “In Ambrolauri municipality snow removal and electricity restoration works are carried out in intensive mode.”
It further stated, cleaning works of internal state-important motorways have started in the morning. Cleaning works are currently underway in the direction of Velevi-Betlevi-Kviriketsminda, Likheti-Abari-Uravi, Saketia-Znakva-Mokjiar and Nikortsminda-Kachaeti.
The official at the same time further added that, the snow clearing works will be carried out in all necessary directions and appropriate measures will be taken intensively to solve the problems caused by heavy snowfall.
The situation in villages and the needs of the population was personally acquainted with the state trustee of Racha-Lechkhum-Lower Svaneti – Papuna Margvelidze. He during visit to these places was accompanied by the Mayor of Ambrolauri municipality Zviad Mkheidze, the first deputy mayor David Goglidze and the chairman of the city council Aslan Saganelidze.
Official added that, We would like to inform public that snow has created various problems in Ambrolauri municipality, however the whole administration is working in action mode to remove all hurdle create by natural disasters as well.
While speaking about the electricity disruption he said that the bad weather caused damage to electrical transmission lines. Repair works of damaged feeders and substations are currently underway.
As a result of the works, electricity supply has been restored in 29 villages of the municipality. As soon as the works are completed, the supply of electricity will be gradually restored in all communities.
Meanwhile the state trustee and other member of visiting delegation advised people to stay in touch with Municipality officials for further details. According to officials this may take little time but the entire work will be completed in short time. He assures that in future more such initiative will be taken to prevent the damages cause by disasters.
