Georgia: The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songulashvili, attended the official event dedicated to the celebration of National Life Insurance Day. The event was held on May 2, 2025, Friday.
During his welcome speech, the minister congratulated insurance sector representatives on Insurance Day. He also talked about the importance of the insurance system in agro-production.
David Songhulashvli commented, “The sector is strong only when all the relevant parties are involved. I want to wish the best of luck to the insurance industry, of which I am a huge fan. He said that he had the opportunity to attend the previous two events as Chair of the Committee on Field Economics and Economic Policy. According to him he had an active involvement with the legislative part specifically.
According to him, the Agricultural field is one of the important areas in which special efforts are required for the development of the insurance sector. Although the state program of insurance exists for 11 years, they still have quite a lot of opportunities and many challenges.
Furthermore, he mentioned, “I’m sure that with each of you involved in the insurance sector, we can overcome the challenges. I would like to confirm that our agro insurance program will be even more strengthened and activated.”
