Tbilisi, Georgia: A Group of students from the Faculty of Vineyard and Winery of Tokai University of Hungary visited the Caucasus International University (CIU) of Georgia on June 3, 2025, Tuesday.
According to the members of Tokai University, Georgia is the oldest and most unique wine culture country and this was the main reason they chose it. The visit was planned within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Tokai University and Caucasus International Universities.
However, the students were shown to the Faculty of Vineyard and Winery by the Dean of the Faculty Olani Gotsiridze, the Head of the Scientific Department David Maghradze, and the Head of the International Relations Department Svetlana Kirakosiani.
The Hungarian students also visited the infrastructure of the faculty, learned about the successes of current educational programs, and received information about topics of interest to them.
It is to be specifically mentioned that during the visit, introductory and working meetings were held between Hungarian and Georgian students. The Caucasus International University (CIU) posted glimpses of the meetings held, on its official Facebook page on June 5, 2025, Thursday. The University also shared a small note along with the glimpses.
According to the information shared by CIU, it should be noted that the guests gave a presentation on the history of Tokai, one of the world’s oldest and most recognized wine-making regions, and the technological features of wine production.
The Host of the event introduced the students to the Georgian traditional wine technology, history, and traditions of Georgian wine culture.
At the end, a joint tasting of Hungarian and Georgian wines was held. The parties expressed their desire and readiness to continue and further strengthen the cooperation they have started.
