Adjara, Georgia: Within the framework of the Ajara Ministry of Health and Social Protection’s “Provision of Housing for Eco-Migrant Families” program, 16 eco-migrant families have been registered with their chosen safe housing spaces at Batumi House of Justice.
The Ministry of Health & Social Affairs of Ajara shared the glimpses of the program event on its official Facebook page on July 2, 2025, Wednesday. The Ministry also shared some information related to the program along with its photographs.
According to the information shared by the Adjara Health Ministry, it should be noted that the victims of the natural disaster purchased a house/apartment / building land with co-financing of the Ministry, each family was allocated 50,000 GEL.
Eduard Nakashidze, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of Adjara, congratulated the families on the purchase of a new home. He also noted, “With the support of the Adjara government, the provision of safe housing for e-migrant families continues. This year 95 families were able to buy a living space, and by the end of the year, their number will increase to 150.”
The Deputy Minister added that the program has gradually expanded, with updates being incorporated year after year to provide more access to affected families. 7,740,000 GEL is provided for the program this year.
According to the new 2025, beneficiaries will have the opportunity to build a residential house with the amount provided under the program on land registered in the property, based on a building permit issued by the relevant municipality. And last year, e-migrant families were allowed to buy a decent place to live in a building under construction.
The program “Provision of Housing for Ecomigrant Families” was launched in 2016, and in total 954 residential areas were purchased.
