Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Twin Island Nation, St Kitts and Nevis, got two new ambulances, which will further improve healthcare facilities, enhance existing services in hospitals and healthcare centres, and provide better support during emergencies.
The Ministry of Health of St. Kitts and Nevis shared the glimpses of the new ambulances on its official Facebook Page on Friday, August 15, 2025. The Ministry also shared a small note about this addition in its healthcare facilities, along with its glimpses. Notably, these ambulances are being considered as an important step in the development of the healthcare capabilities of the nation.
According to the information shared by the Health Ministry of the Twin Island Nation, St Kitts and Nevis, it should be noted that for the nation, these two ambulances are more than just vehicles; they are lifelines, equipped to provide critical care during those crucial moments when every second counts.
This kind of advancement in the healthcare centre of the nation was much needed for improving the overall development of St kitts and Nevis. It will also help in improving access to emergency medical services and supporting the hardworking EMT operators who serve on the frontlines every day.
It is also noteworthy that the nation will be getting more ambulances to add to the fleet by the end of this year. The ambulances will help in delivering timely, reliable emergency medical transport to the people.
The Ministry also mentioned that by November 2025, they will be adding seven more ambulances to their fleet. The Permanent Secretary of Health, Curtis Martin has praised this development in the emergency healthcare delivery. According to him, with the addition of these two new Ambulances, the healthcare facilities provided by the nation will improve even further and make the nation proud shortly.
