Within the framework of the summit, Mikheil Sarjveladze spoke at the session, where he talked about the importance of evidence-based medicine.
The Minister of Health, over the past decade, has focused on reforms implemented in Georgia, aimed at strengthening the health care system, access to medical services and medicines, and reducing out-of-pocket payments.

In recent years, guidelines in oncology and mental health have been approved for the treatment of rare and chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. National Protocols for Prevention and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease are being brought into line with international standards and supported through digital tools and continuous training.
These efforts demonstrate our commitment to not only evidence-based medicine but also equity, innovation, and patient-centered care.
