The construction of the sports complex near Trialeti Street N2, in Tabakhmela, was completed on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, visited the site and got acquainted with the completed works.
The Tbilisi City Hall shared the glimpses of the new sports complex on its official Facebook Page. The City Hall also shared a small note about the sports complex along with its glimpses.
According to the information shared by the Tbilisi City Hall, it should be noted that on the territory of the complex, which covers an area of ​​5,000 square meters, a football and basketball court has been arranged according to international standards.
Notably, a grandstand for 500 spectators, lighting, a scoreboard, and a parking space have been installed, while the arrangement of two padel courts is currently underway.
The mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, got acquainted with the chairman of the City Council, Zurab Abashidze, and the deputies of the mayors, Andria Basilaya and Irakli Bendeliani.
The Mayor Kakha Kaladze noted, “Mtatsminda board has implemented a very important project. I would like to thank the district manager, David Kirkitadze, and every employee of the board, who were involved in the implementation of this project.”
Within the framework of the project, a football field of European standards was set up. A tribune was placed for the fans, a basketball court, and a parking space were set up. The area is all tidy and well-lit. At the same time, padel courts are being built, which will be completed very soon.
“I am glad that such a good project was implemented in Tabakhmela. This means that local kids have a European-style infrastructure where they can play football, rugby, and continue training in normal, modern conditions. I congratulate the little ones and wish them success,” Kakha Kaladze said.
In the premises of the sports complex, an administrative building which is for 45 people was built and comprises four bedrooms, wetting points, dining room, dressing room, court, and medical room. The area is fully adapted for people with disabilities.
Construction of the complex started in 2023, for which 4.5 million GEL was spent from the budget of the Mtatsminda district board. Football schools will be able to use this infrastructure.
Together with the mayor of the capital, Mtatsminda district David Kirkitadze, the first vice president of the Georgian Football Federation Kakha Chumburidze, and veteran athletes, they got acquainted with the completed works.
