ATEA Elects Kakha Kaladze as President, Nino Latsabidze as Vice-President

According to Nino Latsabidze, it should be noted that together, they will be able to bring even more goodness to Rustavi and the development of our local governments.

The National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia (A.T.E.A) held the 8th session of the National Asse/ mbly.

The delegates of the session elected Kakha Kaladze, the mayor of Tbilisi, as the president of the National Association of Local Self-Governments (A.T.E.A) for the third term.

Within the framework of the event, a meeting of the executive council of the association was held, in which the chairman of the Tbilisi City Council was again elected as the first vice-president of ATEA and the mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, the mayor of Batumi, Giorgi Tsintsadze, and the chairman of the city council of Khashuri municipality Nino Liparteliani were named.

The association’s executive director, Nino Rukhadze, introduced the candidates presented by the association’s president, Kakha Kaladze, to the participants of the session.

The newly elected vice presidents of A.T.E.A thanked their colleagues for the trust and hoped for fruitful cooperation in the development of the association and strengthening of the local government.

During the meeting of the National Assembly of the National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia, the President of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, presented the report of the association’s activities for the past four years.

The delegates were also addressed by the Chairman of the Parliament’s Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, Irakli Kadagishvili, and the Minister of Regional Development of Georgia, Kakhaber Guledan.

The event held in the “Biltmore” hotel was attended by representatives of Georgia’s central and local authorities, partner local and international organizations.

The National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia unites all 64 municipalities of the country and represents their interests both at the national and international levels. The purpose of the association’s activities is to develop local government institutions, support the decentralization process, and strengthen cooperation among municipalities.
