The Refugees and Eco-Migrants Agency will buy houses for another 235 families affected by natural events. The list of mentioned families has already been published on the agency’s website.
The Agency for IDPs, Eco-Migrants and Livelihoods shared the glimpses of the meeting, in which this was discussed and decided. The Glimpses were shared on the Agency’s official Facebook Page on January 7, 2026, Wednesday. The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, Labor, Health and Social Welfare of Georgia also shared a small note about the meeting along with some photographs.
According to the Ministry of Health, eco-migrant families will have the freedom to select their own homes in any region of Georgia, with six months allocated for this purpose.
“Creating a safe living environment for families affected by natural events remains one of the top priorities. In 2025, the agency will house more than 500 eco-immigrant families across the country. In 2026, work in this direction will continue even more actively,” the Ministry of Health stated.
Key details of the 2026 resettlement initiative include:

- Family List: The list of the 235 selected families has been published on the official website of the Agency for IDPs, Eco-Migrants and Livelihood Provision.
- Program Context: This effort follows a record year in 2025, where the agency resettled over 500 eco-migrant families and nearly 3,000 displaced families in total.
- Additional Support: Beyond housing, the agency is also implementing programs in 2026 to provide equipment and tools for self-employment to approximately 400 IDPs and eco-migrants to ensure long-term livelihood stability.
