Georgia: At the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, Croatia’s First Lady, public health expert Sania Musich Milanovic, held a public lecture on the topic – “Health in the Modern Era – Together for a Healthy Lifestyle”.
The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, Labor, Health, and Social Welfare of Georgia shared the glimpses of the public lecture on its official Facebook page on February 12, 2026, Thursday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
The lecture brought together representatives of the health sector, academic community, and public institutions, creating a platform for discussion on current public health priorities and preventive strategies.
During the lecture, Sania Musich Milanovich spoke about the health challenges of the modern age, the importance of preventing non-communicable diseases, the need to promote healthy lifestyles, and the role of joint government and community efforts in improving public health.
The meeting aimed at sharing international experiences and deepening collaboration to promote healthy lifestyles.

Sania Musić is a physician-epidemiologist, PhD in medical sciences, professor at the University of Zagreb, expert on nutrition and physical activity at the World Health Organization, and head of several national projects at the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
During the visit, the first lady of Croatia met with the first lady of Georgia, Tamar Bagrationi, the director of the center Irakli Purtseladze, and her deputy Paata Imnadze. The parties discussed cooperation issues and plans.
The visit between Georgia and Croatia serves to deepen cooperation, share experiences, and develop joint initiatives that will further improve the health protection and quality of life of the population.
