The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, held a working meeting with the representatives of the Foundation “Kartu” and the British consulting company regarding the arrangement of a new entertainment and recreation space in the capital.
It’s about the project, which intends to create a new entertainment-recreation thematic space in the Tbilisi Sea area. The British company LDP, based on the contract with the fund “Kartu”, will carry out the technical-economic analysis of the project, and the conceptual design will be created at the second stage.
“The amusement park is a very important project. This scale project will be the first in the region. We do not have much experience in this field, and the support of leading international companies is very important. Also, it is very important to help “Karthu”, because we would have a hard time finding a company of this scale. Today in Tbilisi, there is no possibility for a parent to take their child to an amusement park with modern standards. Therefore, the interest of the society in this project is very great, – said Kakha Kaladze.
In his turn, Nikoloz Chkhetiani, the director of the Foundation “Kartu,” noted that the new recreation zone will unite all the components of entertainment, knowledge, and relaxation that are available in the world today.
“There is a talk about the creation of a new recreational and leisure zone in the Tbilisi Sea.” It is planned that in the near future a new amusement park will be built in this area, which will serve both residents of Tbilisi and visitors to the capital. It will be a new recreational area that will meet and combine all the components of entertainment, cognitive, and relaxation that are prevalent in the world today. The Foundation “Kartu” helps the Tbilisi municipality with a project. “At present, we have adopted a company from the UK, which provides relevant research on which detailed project will be done later,” said Nikoloz Chkhetiani.
The meeting held at Tbilisi City Hall was attended by Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze, Deputy Mayor Andria Basilaya, Head of the Environmental Protection Service Paata Togonidze, Director of the International Charity Foundation “Kartu” Nikoloz Chkhetiani, representatives of the Foundation, and representatives of the British Consulting Company.
