The head of Soil Fertility Research Service Laboratory of Agriculture Scientific and Research Center of Georgia (SRCA), Giorgi Ghambashidze, presented a scientific report at the 23rd World Congress of Soil Science, held in Nanjing, China.
The Congress, which was hosted by the
International Society of Soil Scientists (IUSS) and the Society of China (SSSC), is the largest and most prestigious scientific forum in the field of soil science in the world. It takes place once every four years and brings together scientists from the world’s leading universities and research centers.
It should be noted that the Soil Fertility Research Service of the Scientific and Research Center of Agriculture is represented at the World Congress of Soil Scientists for the third time, which confirms the high quality and international recognition of the scientific research carried out at the Center.
At the Congress,
Giorgi Ghambashidze presented the results of the research conducted at the Soil Fertility Research Service, which touched on the issues related to soil fertility, sustainable land use, and climate change.
The main theme of the 2026 World Congress of Soil Scientists was “The Shared Future of Soil and Humanity”, which will focus on soil protection, sustainable agriculture, climate change, and global food security.
