The Days of Culture of Georgia and the Deputy Minister’s Visit have begun in the Federal Republic of Brazil. During the visit, Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtschulava, met with the Minister of Culture of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Margaret Meneses. Also, a working meeting was held with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Alex Giacomeli and Silva.
At the meetings, the parties discussed prospects for developing cultural cooperation between Georgia and the Federal Republic of Brazil.
The Minister of Culture, Tinatin Rukhadze, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation prepared in the field of culture between Georgia and Brazil in Georgia. Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia handed over the official document to the Minister of Culture of Brazil.
The parties noted that the memorandum provides for cooperation and support for joint initiatives in cultural policy, cultural heritage, theatre, museums, art, literature, film and creative industries.
The meetings also focused on implemented and planned joint cultural projects. It was noted that cooperation with Brazilian partners in Georgia is being successfully developed, as evidenced by both the successful concert tour of Tbilisi State Chamber Orchestra “Georgian Sinfonietta” in Brazil, and the planned concerts of Ensemble “Rustavi” in Brazil and Rio de Janeiro. At the end of the match, Giorgi Mirchulava embarrassed the Brazilian federation.
The Minister of Culture of the Republic and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with the members of the delegation, invited the Brazilian delegation to an official visit to Georgia.
The Georgian Emergency and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili, representatives of the Embassy, and the Head of the Department of International Relations of the Ministry of Culture, Zurab Bakuradze, and representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Culture and Foreign Affairs.
