The “State Program of Agro-Financing” was launched on July 1, 2026, Wednesday. The program is implemented by the Rural Development Agency and aims to promote the implementation of modern, climate-adapted technologies in the agro sector, increase production, and improve the quality of products.
The Rural Development Agency (RDA) of Georgia shared glimpses of the meeting in which the program was discussed on its official Facebook Page on July 1, 2026, Wednesday. The Agency also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
The program will fund the development of perennial crops, greenhouse farms, animal and poultry farms, beekeeping, aquaculture and mariculture farms, setting up facilities (slaughterhouses) for the slaughter of animals for food purposes, as well as the creation of processing and storage factories.
A registered individual entrepreneur (individual entrepreneur) or a legal entity can use the program. The total volume of agency co-financing within the program is more than 2 million GEL. Farmers interested in setting up a private farm will benefit from different conditions.
Within the program, the co-financing of the agency is determined up to 50% of the total cost of the submitted project, and for cooperatives with agricultural status, projects implemented in villages near the divide line and high-rise settlements – up to 55%.
Applications in the “State Program of Agro-Financing” are accepted electronically, through the official website of the Rural Development Agency.
One of the necessary prerequisites for participation in the state program is registration in the register of agricultural and rural enterprises. Registration is possible at the Central Office of the Rural Development Agency and Municipal Information and Consulting Centers.
