A press conference was held on the presentation of the cultural program at the Embassy of Georgia in the Federal Republic of Brazil.
The Ministry of Culture of Georgia shared glimpses of the press conference on its official Facebook Page on July 1, 2026, Wednesday. The Georgian Culture Ministry also shared a small note about the conference along with its glimpses.
Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtschulava, Ambassador of Emergency and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili, director of the ensemble Rustavi, Ia Makatsaria, and artistic director Mikheil Javakhishvili participated.
At the press conference, Giorgi Mirtskulava spoke about the memorandum of cooperation in the field of culture between Georgia and the Federal Republic of Brazil, signed by the ministers of culture of the two countries.
It was noted that within the framework of the memorandum, cultural cooperation between the two countries will deepen and the implementation of new joint projects with the involvement of the embassy will be facilitated.
The heads of ensemble “Rustavi” informed local media about the details of the concert tour planned in Brazil within the framework of Georgian Culture Days.
Organizers talked about planned concerts at the Claudio Santoro National Theater in Brazil and Claro Maiz Theater in Rio de Janeiro and noted that the concerts will allow the Brazilian audience to get acquainted with Georgian multi-voice singing and national choreography.
Events are supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Embassy of Georgia in the Federal Republic of Brazil is actively involved in organizing events.
The press conference focused on the importance of cultural relations between Georgia and Brazil, as well as the perspective of deepening cultural cooperation between the two countries.
