The Minister of Regional Development of Georgia, Kakhaber Guledan, held a working meeting regarding current and future projects of Daba Bakuriani’s road infrastructure development.
The Ministry of Regional Development of Georgia shared glimpses of the working meeting on its official Facebook Page on July 16, 2026, Thursday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Regional Development of Georgia, the long-term plan for the development of Daba Bakuriani’s road infrastructure was discussed in detail, and the rehabilitation of all the gravel and internal roads throughout Daba, whose total length is 35 kilometers, was discussed.
Road infrastructure regulation works have started in Daba Bakuriani. In particular, the road pavement works are underway on Liana Gogoladze and Tamar King streets, which are the preparation stage for the further asphalting of these streets, which will promote safe and comfortable movement of both locals and visitors.
The parties discussed the development directions of the Daba Bakuriani Tourist Center and discussed steps that will contribute to further strengthening the resort and creating better conditions for visitors.
Special attention should be paid to managing the flow of transport and relaxing traffic during the holiday season. New alternative routes are underway that will reduce congestion on central streets, improve travel conditions, and create more opportunities for tourist and local transport.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Regional Development Zaza Kvitsiani, First Deputy State Envoy of Samtskhe-Javakheti Giorgi Kochiashvili, Deputy Sergi Mushkudiani, Mayor of Borjomi Municipality Mamuka Gelashvili, and Vice Head of Bakuriani Development Agency Guram Arabidze.
