“Trialeti Cup” is an international figure skating tournament in the Challenger Series, in which more than 100 skaters from 21 countries are participating; the tournament is represented by the Georgian Olympic team.
The Georgian National Olympic Committee (GNOC) shared glimpses of the tournament on its official Facebook Page on Friday, October 2, 2026. GNOC also shared a small note about the event along with its glimpses.
The opening ceremony of “Trialeti Cup” was held. The event was distinguished by its impressive Georgian dance numbers and festive program. Mariam Giorgobiani, President of the National Figure Skating Federation of Georgia, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and announced the tournament as open.
Attended the opening ceremony of the Triathlon Cup: President of the National Olympic Committee of Georgia Leri Khabelov, Vice-President Nino Salukvadze, General Secretary Emzar Zenaishvili.
On the first day of competition in women’s and boys’ units, as well as in sports dances, there were short programs.
Anastasia Gubanova and Inga Gurgenidze competed in women’s units. Gubanova earned 70.69 points from the judges and went to third place, while Gurgenidze took fifth place among 14 participants with a rating of 63.66 points. The best among the boys was Nika Egadze, who took first place among 12 participants with 93.80 points. Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin finished first among 19 participants in rhythmic dance.
“Trileti Cup” is organized by the Georgian Figure Skating Federation and supported by the Ministry of Sports.
