According to several media reports, the protesters announced by the United National Movement, despite the explanations and instructions provided to the organizers, are still planning to hold a rally near the creek docks.
According to this, the Ministry of Internal Affairs considers it unintentional to provide the public with information about the circumstances and security measures at the site.
As the organizers of the rally have been displaced several times, in the area of Europe Square and Riki Park, the relevant services of Tbilisi Municipality have started the necessary preparations for the event in connection with the events of “Tbilisi 2026”.
The Ministry of Interior urges organizers and participants of the meeting not to interfere with the preparations for “Tbilisioba 2026” events. The Ministry also urged them not to enter the areas where the relevant offices are carrying out the work.
In addition, it is especially important that citizens stay away from the area near the creek docks, where demolition works are underway. Due to the specifics of ongoing works, citizens entering and moving into the area are associated with increased security risks and may endanger th eir lives and health.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs once again urges the organizers and participants of the rally
- not to exceed the rules set down by the law of the rally-manifestation,
- to observe the current situation,
- to follow the security rules,
- not to interfere with the ongoing activities,
- to obey the legal demands of the police.
Police on site will ensure public order and the safety of citizens and respond accordingly within the jurisdiction of the law.
