On March 4 of this year a public discussion of the forest management plans of Dedoplistskaro and Sighnaghi municipalities will be held. I this meeting the attendee will discuss issues related to forest management of country.
As per the details from the municipality officials, “The public discussion of the draft forest management plan of Dedoplistskaro municipality will be held on March 4, 2025, at 11:00, at the Dedoplistskaro Municipality City Hall at address: Kostava St. #44; City Hall Building.”
Similarly another such important discussion of the draft forest management plan of Sighnaghi municipality will be held on March 4, 2025, at 15:00, at the Sighnaghi Municipality City Hall at address: Agmashenebeli Square #2; City Hall Building.
Notably the forest inventory works in Dedoplistskaro and Sighnaghi were carried out by the LEPL National Forestry Agency. The LEPL National Forestry Agency has submitted the following documentation to the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture for consideration:
- Draft Dedoplistskaro-Sighnaghi Forest Management Plan
- Taxation descriptions
- Cartographic materials

They also added that with such meeting the people can be made aware about the importance of forest management. The Georgian environmental agencies have been working for a long time to make people aware on environmental issues especially the climate change and increasing global warming.
The global warming and threat of climate change has forced many countries from across the world to take immediate steps for proper forest management. The forest management can ensure sustainable development. The sustainable development has also become need of hour.
