In the Rustavi city a major sculptor’s exhibition has been inaugurated by Mayor Nino Latsabidze. The exhibition will display the works by 5 generations of Rustavi sculptors. The exhibition has opened at the Otar Chkhartishvili Art Gallery in Rustavi and attracted large number of art lovers from across the city hall.

The official Facebook page of Rustavi city hall stated, “An exhibition of works by Rustavi sculptors has opened at the Otar Chkhartishvili Art Gallery in Rustavi, which has been organized by the Rustavi City Hall. The exhibition titled “Echo of Generations” will presents the works of 15 sculptors and combines the work of five generations of Rustavi sculptors.”
The Facebook post also underlined, The exhibition was opened by Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze together with the sculptors.It is worth to note that the gallery will host visitors for a month, meetings with sculptors and art lovers will be held as well.
It is worth to note that at this special occasion the sculptors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the process of creating a sculpture. They will also learn what the main inspiration of the sculptor was during the work process and what path he takes from choosing the artistic material to creating a sculpture.
Notably the group exhibition of sculptors is the fourth exhibition hosted by the New Gallery of Rustavi. In past From January 27 to February 27, the Otar Chkhartishvili Art Gallery hosted a personal exhibition of artist Jemal Kukhalashvili, which aroused great public interest.in one month, the exhibition had about 1000 visitors.
The Otar Chkhartishvili Art Gallery opened on October 23, 2024, with an exhibition of his own works. Artists have been asking for the opening of an art gallery in Rustavi for several decades. Their wish was fulfilled last year, and today the city has a modern exhibition space, where any artist can present their work to the public.
The Otar Chkhartishvili Art Gallery is located in the new building of the Student Youth Centre.
