The Agency for Protected Areas participated in the international tourism exhibition SATTE 2025. The SATTE (South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange) was held in the capital of India, Delhi.
It is worth to note that the Georgian national parks were presented to the Indian tourism market for the first time. The agency attended this seminar to promote Georgian tourisms sector.
As part of the exhibition, visitors had the opportunity to receive detailed information about the unique natural heritage of Georgia and explore the beauty of Georgian national parks using virtual reality glasses.
It is noteworthy that the awareness of Indian visitors to the exhibition about Georgia is quite high, which is a significant potential for the promotion of protected areas in the Indian tourism market.
The Agency for Protected Areas continues to actively work to increase the awareness of Georgian national parks and attract international tourist flows. The tourism sector of Georgia is main source of national income.
