Akhaltsikhe Municipality: 3700 gets benefits from the health and social care programs

In Akhaltsikhe Municipality of Georgia near about 3,700 beneficiaries have benefited from the health care and social programs. This is data from January to November this year. The cost for these services under various programs was 1 527 211 GEL.

During the mentioned period of January to November 1560, beneficiaries received different kinds of social assistance, including :

1. Social assistance for families of newborns has been transferred to 270 families, amounting 85 750 GEL
2. 73 families received one-time social assistance as families with many children, in the amount of 40000 GEL
3. 284 beneficiaries received social assistance for acute disability for a total amount of 135 190 GEL
4. 60 beneficiaries have benefited from the social assistance of orphaned children and disabled people it cost 23290 GEL
5. 165 beneficiaries received social assistance for children with disabilities, having a total amount of 33 900 GEL
6. Social assistance for visually impaired persons was provided to 44 beneficiaries, with the amount of 11190 GEL
7. 11 beneficiaries received social assistance as war veterans with disabled status with a total amount of 7474 GEL
8. 2 citizens received social assistance for the elderly, in the amount of 1000 GEL
9. Social assistance for Second World War veterans was given to 2 veterans amounting to 1400 GEL
10. 305 beneficiaries received social assistance for the poor population, which cost 58 145 GEL
11. 95 families of internally displaced persons displaced persons received social assistance. The amount of assistance was 14 200 GEL
12. 11 beneficiaries received funding under the sub-program of providing homeless and homeless people with the amount of 20 764 GEL
13. Social assistance for families affected by the fire was provided to 4 families in the amount of 9,550 GEL
14. 25 beneficiaries benefited from the social assistance of patients with kidney failure, for which 17 144 GEL was spent.
15. 2135 beneficiaries have benefited from the financing of medical services and medicinal treatment of the population, 845 903 GEL were given as financing. Among them:
16. Medical research was financed for 362 citizens with the amount of 85 574 GEL
17. 624 citizens benefited from the financing of “Planned and Emergency Operations”, with the amount of 252 862 GEL
18. The oncological patient package was financed to 511 beneficiaries, amounting 313 854 GEL
19. Inpatient treatment was financed for 73 citizens, with an amount of 23 804 GEL
20. 32 people benefited from the medical package of veterans, with a total amount of 7 863 GEL
21. 59 people were assisted with the medical package for chronic diseases, 12 336 GEL was given as financing
22. 474 beneficiaries have benefited from the rehabilitation program for children with special needs

In addition, 40 435 GEL was spent from the local budget to co-finance the cost of bus transport in the municipality territory of the municipality.

It is worth mentioning that Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall in order to provide social and health care to the population, implements 27 kinds of sub-programs for which 2 120 920 GEL is provided from the local budget. Among them citizens can benefit from seven healthcare sub-programs and 20 types of social assistance.
